I found this heavy triangular piece of what appears to be a bryozoa colony ,but at different angles and lighting I find it to show several other possibilities. This was retrieved from a receding river bed amongst many more corals and lingulla plates I also gathered. If anyone has an input or correction to my guess ,I greatly appreciate it.

I peaked down while fishing in southeast Minnesota and this interesting rock or maybe fossil caught my eye. This is limestone bluff country. Please share your thoughts on whether or not it’s a fossil and if so, what type it might be.

Hey guys, I was in the driftless area fly-fishing, and I found this fossil in a public access creekbed. I'm certain it's fossilized coral, but I was wondering if anyone here knew what kind it was, and if it's of good quality. I'm also curious as to why it looks different than many coral fossils I've seen online (not smooth).

Hi! It turns out that my property is full of fossils and I’ve decided to try to collect some. While my ultimate goal is to find a wooly mammoth tooth…I’m a realist and every little crinoid earns my fascination.

Hello! I'm a complete amateur & need some help. Camping in Apple River Canyon state park, Illinois in what is called the driftless area. They had a huge flood wash through the canyon a week or so before my trip, relocating tons & tons of rock. I found a few fossils, but don't know what they are or how to clean them up. Thanks

INCREDIBLE 26 minute professional video of the wonders, geology, and biodiversity of the Driftless Area! Much of it filmed within 10 to 50 miles of where I live! We have many members in the Driftless Area. MAPS is held in the Driftless Area. I consider this a "MUST SEE" video: http://www.bluffcountryfossils.com/blog/mysteries-of-the-driftless-video/ Enjoy! Bev
