Both of these verts have been identified as Pachyrhizodus and were found in the Niobrara Chalk of Gove County, Kansas. Needing a second opinion.

About a year ago or so I went back and forth with a guy who sells ancient fossil fish from the Devonian period. I did end up buying a small fish from him but he also learned that I loved to prep fossils during one of our back and forth conversations. About 3 months ago he contacted me and offered me an unprepped Osteolepis macrolepidotus. I took a chance and bought it. Wow! Turned out fantastic! Took me 3 prep sessions but had tons of fun with this project. I have also turned this project into a prep video but its not published yet. RB Oh, this project took me about 7.5 to 8 hours of total prep time

Not sure what to say about this find other than it found me. Was trecking @+1500 meters the old goat routes in the anti-mount Lebanon range (very narrow and step on 1 side) and at some point, I saw it lying next to a big rock. Any similar fish fossil kind? I was told that many fossils I found in the area are cretacious...nothing confirmed though.

I bought this today and I want to know what species it is could anyone help me out?
Milo posted a topic in Fossil ID
I bought this today at a market and would like to know what species it is and if it’s real I’m pretty sure it’s real but you never know the guy that sold it to me said it was from Madagascar and some other stuff but he said it all in a different language so I didn’t know what he said. Sorry for the noob question! Thanks for any help- 7 replies
