So this one has me stumped. This was found on a southern California beach last week while walking with my family. Now I normally would have passed this one up however there were just too many factors telling me it's something more than just a rock. First and foremost (which has proven hard to show in a photo) the top, root area is very fibrous looking. I've put it side by side with a megalodon tooth just to show what eye is comparing it to. I know there aren't typically dino fossils found in this area however I did also find a 3.5" fossil shark tooth on the Sacramento river soooooo I'm not ruling anything out. Any thoughts or opinions would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks all

Gastropod Identification Help Needed - Florida Fossil (2nd Post)
Gregory Kruse posted a topic in Fossil ID
Hello, I found these gastropods along the Sanibel Causeway in Ft. Myers, FL. They were in a pile of shells being used for landscaping so I presume that the sediments came from a nearby quarry of ?Pleistocene age, possibly the Caloosahatchee Fm. Can someone help me verify and identify this fossil? Family Olividae? Thank you!- 3 replies

Found in Tuscarawas county, Ohio, USA. I found along a shallow stream bed that cuts deeply through a rocky gorge. Nearby is a large fossilized tree branch and I have found other Fossil there as well. The material is sandstone and I noticed it's starting to deteriorate. The size of the overall specimen is 152 mm in length.
