Michelinia is a less common, but widely distributed coral in the Pennsylvanian Naco Formation in north central Arizona. The coral lacks noticeable septa and has tabulae that are often convex upward. Dozens of silicified colonies ranging from less than 1 cm to 25 cm across were found in a several meter square area with several species of brachiopods, horn corals and crinoid stems.
