New fossil hunter here! Recently went hunting at McFaddin Beach, TX with some out-of-state friends. McFaddin is a popular fossil hunting spot because it is not restricted and many projectile points have been found there. We found lots of interesting pieces (my friend found two herbivore teeth!) but, I'm not sure if any of my finds are good. The first pictures (with the larger pieces are what I'm most interested in. We also found lots of dark cylindrical pieces that I think could be coral (or antler fragments which are common on the beach). Finally, I found a fragment of what might be a projectile point (I know it's not a fossil, but maybe someone can help?). Any IDs would be appreciated. Also keep in mind there is a crumbled asphalt road that runs along the beach, I tried to avoid those pieces, but some may have slipped through. Also, the fish bone at the top of one of the pictures is not fossilized, just a cool find.

wow, just reviewing the page I feel so inadequate. I am not here to have anything appraised, genuinely just have an interest to learn and I am very curious about fossil information. sorry I don't have any cool knowledge to share!

My hubs and I love to hunt for shark teeth. Amelia Island is known for its teeth and we have a lot of hunters here. We are close to Kings Bay submarine base and they are frequently dredging the channel the subs take into the back rivers so we are lucky to have the spoils spread along our state park of Fort Clinch. we’ve hunted in South Florida, The Peace River, Gainesville creeks, South Carolina beaches and creeks. We would love to be invited to land sites, which we’ve never done. I’m thinking about joining some fossil clubs to share and possibly go on some field trips. Our home is covered with teeth and our faves are the Megs and the Hemi’s. I have just joined so I’ll be doing a lot of reading for a while. Cheers everyone!

Hello, I found this on a walk along the Thames in London. It caught my attention due to the unusual shape. Can someone tell me if it is a bone or just a stone? It is not as heavy as one would expect a stone to be but I am not an expert. Many thanks, Fiona
