We found this very interesting (at least to us) fossil at Beltzville State Park (PA) recently and wondered what you all thought it was of. Thanks in advance for your feedback. We are fossil novices but love learning.

Found this piece on a walk near a Triassic outcrop in Pennsylvania, has a pretty exact visual similiarity to the wing rib of a Triassic reptile but is likely just some form of sedimentary trace. It would be great to get some more opinions on this piece to see if its worth holding onto or I would label it to be definitely sedimentary and rid of it, which I feel is the case.

Hey everybody, always been interested in paleontology since I was a kid. Finally found my first fossil on a scout trip in Maryland and restarted my love of the hunt. Anyone have any good spots near Delaware county Pa for me to visit. Planning a trip to Montour with my little brother sometime next month. -Joe

A bit of sun yesterday helped here in Millrift PA , about 3 miles upriver from Port Jervis/Matamoras. The reference for this location is Atlas 228 plate 1 http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/topogeo/publications/pgspub/atlas/index.htm. The U. Devonian Millrift Formation (530') is underlain by the Sloat Brook Formation (340') , Sparrow Bush Formation (40') and the M. Devonian Mahantango Formation (2450'). Cheers, Gordon
