I have had this Pry-Axe brand made in Chicago for a few years. It is listed as a Fireman's tool. The only online photo I found has a different handle. So I assume it will be a good rock pick and maybe I can wrap like golf club tape on it? A SOG folding shovel with belt pouch. Has proven well made and handy. The maker of Multi-Tools.

As I'm fairly new to prep, I thought I would "show my work." This is far from anything professional looking. I am also not using a good enough blasting medium. But it does look a bit better. This is a roller found from Penn Dixie. There are still some trouble spots, and some very stubborn stuff on the glabella that just won't blast away. I am using a mix of approaches from needles/picks, Dremel, pliers, and air abrasion. Total time about 40 minutes.

I have read through several threads here on the forum for cleaning fossils. The hydrogen peroxide worked great! This fossil appears to be very weathered. I'm afraid if I start cleaning it with picks I will destroy the fossil structure. I do not have an air polishing device. Any other tips? Kim
