Found by myself and my kids since the 80s in Texas in creeks, river beds and tributary’s of rivers. Early Texas man is my passion and anything from the past Pleistocene and before ,bones and fossils and rocks. Countless hours in the field enjoying Gods magnificent creations. Countless hours researching reading books searching interweb to identify finds. Feel free to comment on any of my pics. I am a amateur and always looking for knowledge from the people and experts. Hopefully I have found some puzzle pieces literally to help the scientific and history community. God Bless Texas and all who have good intentions. Bryan

Hi everyone! I'm back with another Florida Mammal bone that has me stumped. The size rules out most things. I figure it's either sloth or proboscidean but I'm having a hard time figuring out which one as I can't seem to find a good match. Any thoughts? measurements are: 10.6 cm (4.17 inches) long 6.2 cm (2.44 inches) tall 4.5 and 3 cm (1.77 and 1.18 inches) wide

I went to the Zandmotor recently while visiting The Netherlands and wanted some clarity on some of my finds. I found a number of shells, two fish vertebrae, and two different mammalian bone fragments. This, however, is all I can make of any of them, and would appreciate more specific ID's if anyone out there knows. The shells should be middle Pleistocene (if they're not actually recent shells lol), and everything else (likely) late Pleistocene. Thank you! Fish Verts: Perhaps not fossil-- Baltic Macoma? Not sure about this either (whelk?), lovely shell either way: Mammal Chunk 1: Mammal Chunk 2: Mammal Chunk 1 again: More Shells (Oysters, a gastropod, and a cockle (I think)):

New here and to fossils as well. I wanted to start collecting Pleistocene era fossils as that is what I am interested in most. A friend of mine got me started off with this horse tooth. I am fairly sure it is indeed a horse tooth but is it from the Pleistocene era? I have no idea where it came from either. What tooth would it have been? Molar? Any insight from you guys is greatly appreciated!

I've been trying to put together a collection of state fossils. Two states claim Basilosaurus and Vermont claims Delphinapterus . I have Miocene whale bones from VA and MD - broken vertebrae, ribs, and skull fragments and a complete dolphin periodic I'm willing to part with. Still working on the more complete vert pictures, but PM me if you want to see them. Don't need anything in perfect condition, fragments are fine. Anyone have anything to spare?

I hit 3 spots on NSR yesterday with a friend. We waded some waist deep water and mud but had a good day and some good finds. We found a nice variety of fossils from Pleistocene to Cretaceous. The killer Dalton artifact was the highlight of my day. The last pic is my friends finds for the day. Can anyone ID the large tooth on the bottom left of the last pic?
