Here’s the before and after with the nautiloid that realized was crystallized inside, so I decided to slice it. The polishing process made a difference in bringing out the features inside. I’m not sure if this came from the Fort Worth formation (I think it is) or Grayson. Johnson County TX. Cymatoceras sp. outdoor pics are before polishing (I’m not sure if it shows up in order of my upload, doesn’t look like it initially).

Hello gang, This is one of the first fossils I prepped a long time ago. It may not be the best job, but I still like it. I know it Bryozoa, but not much else. It was an unprepped flea market find. Any ideas?

Hello folks, I started prepping this oreodont skull fossil last year and discovered a bone in it's mouth!!!! I know Oreodonts are herbivores, so, I am assuming it ended up there as a result of shifting mud-etc. But I thought it was interesting and wanted to share my discovery. This project is still in process.

I finished prepping the lot of crinoid stems recently. It took quite a while to complete as I was using only an engraver, picks and brushes. I was told later that I could have soaked it in vinegar to remove most of the matrix. Is that true?

I've had this for several years but just got around to prepping it. I believe I've seen similar on the site in the past few years but don't remember what it is.

I recently acquired this very lovely fossil tentacle with amazing color and nicely prepped. I just cannot figure out from what specimen this could be from, or even if it is real. I believe it is legit because it has some crystallized aspects and if it's fake it is a very good one!

My current collection presented as best as I can. It never occurred to me to ask about the species name etc. Could anyone here assist me with identifying these specimens?
