  1. 12.6" Mosasaur Prognathodon Fossil, 2 lbs 6 ounces, 4.7 inches wide, 1.5 inches thick Location- Qued Zem, Morocco Seller doesn’t mention anything about repair or restoration so I’m not sure about that I’m wondering if it’s restored. Are the teeth original to the jaw? And are those bite marks
  2. Bought this piece of Baltic amber in a instagram store. It looks very real to me. But I dont know much about the amber fossils
  3. Hi All, Completely new to the world of fossil collecting and starting small and safe with teeth! But I’m conscious that there are a lot of fakes out there so to be safe I’ve completely written off the popular, colourful Auction site. I have two fossils at the moment (please see my other real/fake post!) which I decided to buy off a website. They are well regarded on local groups and forums so seemed like the proper way of buying my first fossils. In hindsight, I may have naively rushed into the purchases out of excitement without getting opinions from TFF (more because I didn’t know this place existed!). My second fossil was, a small Nanotyrannus tooth. The stated information is given below: Nanotyrannnus lancensis Hell Creek Formation, Maastrican, Powder River County, Montana, USA I do hope they are genuine, but I’d rather know the truth if they aren’t. If it is real, I’d also been keen to know any insight on condition, features, opinions you all may have! Finally, if anyone has any recommended sites/auctioneers etc. to find good quality fossils, feel free to PM me as any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I have two fossils at the moment (please see my other real/fake post!) which I decided to buy off a site. They are well regarded on local groups and forums so seemed like the proper way of buying my first fossils. In hindsight, I may have naively rushed into the purchases out of excitement without getting opinions from TFF (more because I didn’t know this place existed!). My first fossil was, like many newbies, a Moroccan Spinosaurus tooth. The stated information is given below: Spinosaurus sp. indet Tegana Formation, Aptian, Kem Kem Basin, Morocco I do hope they are genuine, but I’d rather know the truth if they aren’t. If it is real, I’d also been keen to know any insight on condition, features, opinions you all may have! Thanks in advance!
  5. Hello, This is my first post. I recently purchased this item being sold as an authentic trilobite. It was in a box of about 12 and I purchased it cheap. If it's real, fantastic. If not, it's a minor loss. It is 3.75 inches/9.525 cm long. Please see the attached photos Thank you for all your help! Dave
  6. Hi, I purchased this trilobite from a rock shop. After doing some online research, I think it’s real but would like some more opinions. It passes the tooth test (feels like stone). Also, if it is real, does anyone know what type or species it is? TIA!
  7. Hey guys I bought this at a flea market and I’m wondering if it’s real or fake. He said it was from Morocco and a mosasaur matrix. It’s 2 feet long by 1 foot wide and 6 inches thick. Is it real and is it a mosasaur?
  8. Bought this skull a couple years ago at a gem show. It seemed that the seller wasn’t even sure what it was themself, but claimed it might be a mosasaur skull. It was the only one they had and the rest of the stuff they sold was teeth from North Africa such as Carcharodontosaurus and Spinosaurus teeth. There are some parts that make it look real to me but if it is real, I’m not sure what it would be from.
  9. Hey guys, this Keich look real? details below found in triassic deposits in Guizhou Province, China. The specimen measures 4.4" long on a plate 5.8" x 4.6" and is complete with no repair, restoration, or paint. It was prepared in the US using air abrasives and acid.
  10. Hey guys I've got an update on the trex tooth I bought a few weeks back! To restate general info, the tooth is 1.5 inches and was found in Lance Creek FM Wyoming. I am once again asking the question if this is indeed a Rex tooth or not now that I have it in hand. Here's the pictures below
  11. Hey guy saw this Keich on our favorite auction site. Was wondering if it looks real or fake. Details below [Specification]: As shown in the picture by ruler in CM, about 17cm high,9cm width. [Geologic age]: Middle Triassic. 210 million years ago [Location]:Guizhou Xingyi China
  12. Morning everyone, was wondering if anyone could tell if this keich is real or fake. Matrix is 6cm by 5cm and fossil outstretched is 4.7 cm. Listed as an “unbarked layer”. Location of discovery not given but of course it is shipped from China. Please advise.
  13. Hey guys just one more and I’ll be Keich’d out for a while. Does Thisbe one look Atleast partially real? I can see some of the digits are painted but the bone detail looks halfway decent. Just wanting a second opinion.
  14. Hey guys, are these keichousaurus fossils real?
