Ok, first I believe is a baculite piece but it was found in a different matrix. Much larger than what I normally find there and haven't found a grey one before. Just black and red. . No clue on the next pics. I found a few but only kept one as I think it is geological. Figure if there are something I will head back to grab them.

Found two of these today along with a red Glabrocingulum grayvillense. I have looked but cannot find the proper ID. Any help will be appreciated.

Sup, I’m in Wilmington North Carolina. I’m a relatively new fossil hunter/diver but have pretty decent experience/finds under my belt ranging from a few hundred offshore Megs/Whites/Makos etc. Even some Nice finds diving the Tar River near Tarboro N.C. Ok, probably not a hot dog. Plus it is too small. This was found at NSR. Measures 3in x .75in x 1.25in. Probably geological but cannot help but think there is more. Correct all wise people.

Hello from Southern Oregon. Trying to figure out if this is a fossil and If so what type it is. I found this walking along the Rogue River just past Grants Pass. It's only about 4'' in length. Have more pics upon request. Anyone that can identify please help. Thanks so much Duane.

Was hoping it was dinosaur scat but then I noticed it was shiny in some places. Once I cleaned it I saw layering and I think “schist” making it shiny! It’s oddly very heavy . Found in a river in north central Ohio area. I saw one pic , somewhat similar that was said to be a plant. Any ideas? Thank you!

I picked this up because it was so unlike all the others in the same area. Each side seems so different. Was wondering if someone would explain what this rock is please? There are things coming out of it and holes where it looks like something may have laid in. Appreciate any information.

Here I am again. I found some really cool stuff yesterday and today but need some help. All found NSR. Most red matrix which I am not use to. I normally stick away from there as that is where everyone goes but couldn't resist. Any help is appreciated. ...This if four of maybe four... Ok, I do believe this is geological but i unusual to my simple eye.

Hello fellow FF enthusiasts! So first of all, please bear with me, I basically just got into fossil hunting and my eye is not as keen yet, but I managed to have a nice hour / two outside and found a couple of different small finds, things buried deep within bigger sedimentary rocks, located just next to the river (some inside). I'm going to give some short info regarding where they were found and the geological age of the region I'm searching in. Location: River rocky beach (river Drava / Drave, southern EU). Geological era: Neogene / Neogene (-Quaternary) I will post some pictures, which are accompanied by a ruler in EU measurment (centimeters - cm). Like I said I'm no expert, but I will try to give some opinion on the pictures. If you are familiar with anything found here let me know, I'll be happy of just about any new knowledge and information that will be obtained Pic. #1: The way I see it, it looks like a 'Brachiopod' shell, but I'm not sure if it actually fits into the time zone. I would more likely say it is a 'Barnacle or a Theostraca' found in Pleistocene. Pic. #2: (three pictures of it total): I found this 'rock' already submerged in the water and by the looks of it it just might be a regular rock, but it's shape caught my attenion since it is very smooth underneath and seperated by, what it looks like, a channel of some sort? It's length is approximately 3 cm (1.1811 inch) long. Again, any info on this would be great! Pic. #3: No idea on this one. Maybe a part of a gastropod, like an inprint of the shell itself? Lenght 8mm (0.314961 inch). Pic. #4: Preety sure it is a gastropod of a sort, looks like the whole shell is solidly preserved. Underneath is also a small part, most likely a part of the upper and bigger shell. I would say it looks like a 'Neptunea contraria', but I can't say if it is actually from the Neogene period or something more recent? I would also like to ask for any tips how to remove it or at least not brake it when attempting to make the entire rock smaller. Also is it necessary to apply any substances to such things or will it survive like this, stored somwhere dry? That would be that. Like I said, it's not much but I was very happy to find anything at all. Thank you in advance for any answers and the time you will take to read the post!

Wanted to make sure this is a Exogyra ponderosa since it is very worn. Also, how large do these get as this one is 7in x 5in and weighs 4.7.

Me again. This is a grouping of bones that I need help with the identity. Matrix is really hard. Found NSR right below Idonia. It is at least two verts (one broken) and another bone or two. I can take other pics if it helps.

Hello all. Had a really good day at NSR. Started slow but found quite a few items. Found about 100+ baculite pieces up to a couple inches long. Couple small verts, clams and gastropods. I do have some that I need assistance with. First I believe is a red baculite piece? Next I have no idea about....maybe a coral? Next two i believe are verts but any idea from what?

I had forgot I had this. My father in law made it 40 years ago or more from a box turtle and a cane pole. Light under it works well and highlights the fern great. Goes well with all the Alabama fossils around it.

Have not clean this yet. Too excited. North Sulfur River. Actually is more orange when wet. It is 2.5" long and 2" tall. What is it?

I have not cleaned this yet. It is not wet. That is the gloss as it was found. Out side I would guess Side view Ideas?

I was thinking maybe coral but maybe nothing. Found NSR in the darker matrix. Broken on one end. That's the first pic. Pictures are not great. Camera on the list to get. I can try to get better pics if needed. As always, thanks in advance for any help.

Thinking Gyrode Gentii but wanted to be sure before labeling. Found NSR in some grey matrix. I know picture is not great. Just got in and a lot to do. I do have a question. What are people looking for when the smash open the, what I call, thunder rocks? There were a lot smashed and did not see that they took anything. Some where quite large. As always, thank you for any help.

My sister found this time we went out. She has only sent the one pic but figured it might be able to be ID'd. Found NSR in the same area as a vert, baculite pieces and a lot of oysters. Piece is about 2 inches long. Thanks in advance for any help.

My fiance' and I went fossil hunting by the river and collected some things . Does this look like a piece of a horse tooth? Can't figure out what the second picture could be though.
