Found this in Alaska along the Anchor River. Unsure if it is a fossilized anything? Almost looks like there are wing impressions on both sides of the narrow segments, which is about an inch long.

Hi! Could someone help me identify this fossil on a stone found on the shore of Lake Erie, Ohio? Forgot to picture it next to a coin but the rock is about the size of a nickel. First picture is one side, second picture is the other side, same stone.

Hi, I found a unique sort of rock containing several fossils, some sort of protrusion and it is two toned. A bit of some type of crystal is also present Please see pics. I was hoping someone could tell me a bit about the type of fossils, what the two tone exterior is about and what the protrusion is. Kinda cool. Thanks for your time.

Hey fossil people... more specifically hey Arizona fossil people. I'm wondering if any of you have run across fossilized horn coral in this state? If you have, tell me about it. I'd love to see examples of what you've found. I"ve found lots of brachiopods and other marine life in Arizona but this is the first time I've found horn coral. The idea that Arizona used to be underwater is fascinating to me. Theyre not the prettiest specimens... but i found them and they're mine! Lol. For those wondering, I found these near Payson Arizona. Same place I've found byrozoans, brachiopods, and crinoids.

I found this in Germany. 3 cm long. Any idea what this is? I was thinking chert nodule, but what are the markings on it? Are they fossils of some sort? Thank you!

Hello everybody! Found that near kids sandbox in Prague, Czech Republic, in the city center. Sand and rocks from there are probably brought from some other area. But in this park, only few hundred meters from there some Trilobite fossils can be found. It was just laying on the ground. I think it can be a rock, but its very tooth looking rock. I am no expert in those things. It seems like there is a root. It's exactly 2cm from top to bottom. I can't find any shark tooth looking like that. Other animal? I tried my best in making those photos. But if you need some more details, I ll try. Let me know. I hope it will be fun for you to check it out. Thank you!

Good morning and thanks for the invite. I am going blind and just want to see and learn all I can while I can. I have found a few things while walking about here and there in between working outdoors and fishing on the rivers and lakes here in Texas. One piece in particular I found while exploring the property adjacent to where I was living in Cool, Tx (with the permission of the land owner of course) that resembles at a glance or in fact is a fossil. I suppose this could be verified through some sort of examination using equipment that could possibly x-ray or someone with a trained eye could say whether it is in fact a fossil or not. I sent pictures to one of the top universities in America and they said it was only a 'cool' rock It is about the size of your fist. I will post pics when I figure out how to. The two pieces I am sure are artifacts are a small mortar and a piece that resembles an animal. I will also attempt to post those pictures later on. Other than that I have quite a few small fossils found mostly in Tarrant county along with a ton of chert, jasper, agates, feldspar, quartz and flint found in Palo Pinto county where I now reside.

Look I found a thing! Usually when I see a rock embedded in another rock I think fossil... however IF this is a fossil I have no idea what it would be. So at this point im thinking maybe its another Xenolith. What are your thoughts? For anyone interested, this was found near Vancouver Canadia.

Hey everyone, I had to make a trip up to Spokane, Washington, to help my grandparents move. They’re moving in with us. While I was helping pack boxes, I found this rock in their garage. Obviously has fossils in it. My grandfather was kind enough to give it to me. Any idea what this is? Is it even a fossil? I am attaching pictures.
