I just finished up a display case for my dad's cave bear tooth. It will go on the wall. The background is an old diagram of a cave bear jaw; I have digital copy. I printed it on card stock at shutterfly.com. It is really lovely. I think the card stock looks a lot better than the regular print for this; with a coupon, it was free. The shadowbox frame is a very nice one I got at Micheals; with a sale and a coupon I got it for about $7. It is 8x10 and front opening. I drilled a hole in the back of the frame and put in a copper wire loop for holding the tooth. The tooth is removable. The image I used is attached below, feel free download it to print your own. I have one extra copy of the image printed on card stock, if someone wants it to make their own, I'll send it to you if you pay postage. Can't promise the USPS won't bend it though.

Here's my collection so far. It's kind of a mess until i get my hands on another display case (it's in the works). I like to keep the "nerd" vibe throughout my living space. Haha I really want to isolate my really nice pieces into their own case. All in good time though. My Mammoth tooth found in the Peace river. Handmade antler & oak display Peace river shark teeth and turtle bits. Fox hills Ammos and Baculites in altered shadow boxes Trigonocarpus sp. Mazon Creek in altered plastic container Peace River display board w/leather backer (box coming soon) m Mazon Creek cabinet My "main" display case (mazon creek, fox hills, white river, green river, peace river and a lot more) Let me know if you guys want closer shots of anything. Enjoy!

Hi all, what method of sticking fossils to the back frame of a photo frame would you guys recommend? I have got several deep photo frames with 40mm of gap between the glass and the backframe which I intend to convert to fossil display boxes. Filling the boxes up with wool doesn't work as these are not riker boxes, I can only remove the back frame, not the front glass. I 've thought of using double sided tape or sticky/blue/white/construction tack to stick the fossils onto the back frame, however I 've got several matrix type fossils which are highly porous, and either method would end up ruining the fossils if I ever decide to remove them. Does anyone know how else I can secure fossils to the back frame of the photo frames?
