Fun day on the North Sulphur River Texas. We saw some cool wildlife. Here's my finds. A nice mix of pleisosaur, mosasaur, enchodus, shark, turtle, horse, coprolite and artifacts.

Hi everyone, I'm a long time reader but figured I should finally start posting a little. I live in NH which is great in many ways but not when it comes to fossils. If there's anyone else in New England I'd appreciate any spots to hunt! Here's my shark tooth collection, I gathered all of these in Venice FL a few years ago.

Hey guys! I was in peace river last month and it was sooo nice! (Im from Denmark) The water lvl was too high, but it didn't stop us from finding fossils We were 3 days in peace river and 1 day with a guy at an another creek. We didn't find any meg, only fraglodons But this result is nearly better than a meg Nice gator teeth, parrot fish mouth plates and alot of other fossils! Sorry for my bad pics, but i dont have a good phone haha

I found this tiny Squalicorax tooth yesterday at Ramanessin Brook (Monmouth County, NJ Cretaceous). It's interesting to me because it appears to have a mesial heel (notch) that I've seen on other species of the shark but doesn't have a nutrient groove (which I believe disqualifies it from being Pseudocorax) so I'm trying to figure out what it is. Also, I don't believe Squalicorax bassanii is known from this location but I could be wrong. Thanks! -Frank

Found these on Solomon’s Island in MD. I’m bad at identifying these, but I’m pretty sure the one on the right is snaggletooth? The arrow looking one is throwing me for a loop though. Anyone think they can help? I’ve included the front and back of the arrow shaped one.

I'll be staying in Annapolis MD for a few days in August. I'm looking for a guide in the Calvert Cliffs area. If you know of anybody or if you'd be willing to guide, please let me know. I'm an amateur fossil collector in CA. Yesterday I dug at Ernst Quarry in Bakersfield & had a couple nice finds. Thanks for your help.

Need help IDing these two teeth. Found them next to each other, west georgia, between Columbus and Macon. Look like great whites but it seems so far from an ocean and I have no idea how long teeth stay white, assuming they were fossils that washed up in the recent rain.

I hit my favorite creek spot again and I found a lot more new things than I usually do. I found these teeth that looked like broken shark teeth tips but I realized were to flat to be shark teeth. Sorry the seconds blurry. But they seem to be sharp on one edge and round on the other. And yes I know i have a few croc teeth mixed in.

I am currently researching Cretalamna for a written article. When searching for images, I came across this peculiar one that I find interesting. No information on this image seems to exist, whoever submitted this photo did not add any sort of description, other than the shark was identified as "Cretolamna sp." However, I feel too curious to not scrutinize this photo. In my attempt to scrutinize the details of this photo, I've concluded a few things. Firstly, it is likely that the fossil came from Lebanon, possibly Cenomanian lagerstattes in Hgula or similar localities, based on the color of the rock and the presence of a possible Diplomystus birdi and generic crustaceans (which are commonly found in the areas. I don't have much of a clue for the fish directly above the shark). Second, it would be difficult to make a solid conclusion as it appears that no teeth are present in the shark fossil (and Cretalamna diagnostics are almost entirely reliant on teeth). Third, some of the parts of the shark fossil, especially the tail portion (marked by a line directly behind the second dorsal fin) may have been artificially reconstructed during prepping. I'm super curious as to what an expert in this forum would say about this fossil.

The long off season nightmare is over. The Peace River is open for fossil hunting !!!! I even saw Fred Mazza guiding a group of 11 tourists. I went out today.. what a gorgeous day!! Sunshine, a cool breeze and water temps. Dug mostly in pea to golfball size gravel and among some very nice finds and a bunch of small shark teeth, found these 2. A Shark tooth..size is .75 inch. but, but, but where is the bourlette? and then this one. I have absolutely no idea. Size is one-half inch.

Hello, today for trade I’d like to offer a very rare and big Russian Cardabiodon tooth. These are very rare sharks and you definitely don’t see them very often. For trade I’m looking for dinosaur material or large shark teeth (mainly Megalodon teeth, Mako teeth or Great White).

I think they’re great white teeth but it’s hard to tell because they’re half’s, and I’m not much of an expert on identification

Back again from a trip on the beautiful beaches of the netherlands. We found a lot of teeth and some other nice surprises as well. I have a few items that i could not check on internet. Maybe you can enlight me! top teeth is very serrated..not sure is a shark though... the tiny one is a tiger shark i think and the black teeth pointing up is round...maybe a tortoise?

Hello all my fellow fossil lovers! This is my first post on here for a while, I've been lurking around and admiring everyones finds. But y'all have motivated me to actually get out and start hunting! I will be driving up with my girlfriend from Los Angeles to Ernst Quarries in Bakersfield, CA on March 28th. For people who may not be familiar, this is part of the infamous Shark Tooth Hill, dated to the Miocene at 12-15 mya. It is a pay-to-dig site, and not too bad at $40 for a full day of digging. Is anyone on here planning on going that day or have been recently? How does the quarry look like after all the rain we have been having? Does anyone have any tips on what extra tools that are helpful to bring? From what I have read on here, a Pickaxe is helpful for exposing the bonebed. I will also be purchasing my first Estwing Geologic Hammer (the 22 oz with pick end) for the occasion and also to celebrate finishing my semester of Paleontology. Some brushes are also helpful for cleaning up the teeth in matrix too. Anything else that is suggested? Please feel free to share your Ernst Quarry experiences and advice, if you do feel so inclined I will update the thread with pictures of the results - hopefully we will be able to find some goodies
