Hello all! Here are some of my my favourite scenery and fossil pictures from the last few weeks! Decided to hit up some new spots way up in the north end of Toronto along the Humber river - which yielded some very nice shells and crinoid segment (instead of the usual nautiloids). I'm in the midst of getting the weird nautiloid section so stay tuned: Lets kick things off with a couple very pretty shells and crinoids from the north end trip: the 7 shells from the left are Ambonychia, with the two black right shells being Pholadomorpha pholadiformis (I believe). Some crinoid segments on the far right These Ambonychia shells were definitely my favourites of the bunch^ When it comes to crinoids, this is about as good as it gets here in Toronto!!!! Almost nobody finds calyxes here, so this is about as good as it gets!

I found a cool bivalve fossil in the creek today here is what my book says about it its is called Goniophora perangulata Trapezoidal shell, with length typically twice the height.Ventral margin curving with sinuosity in anterior third and slight constriction at the posterior end.Surface with fine concentric growth lines. to 60-90 mm

Age is Miocene-Pliocene. Bryozoan is an immediate thought, but I'm pretty sure that they're quite rare post Paleozoic, and this kind of encrustation is very common in the locality where the specimen was found. Here is a picture: Bonus thanks if anyone knows with some certainty what the bivalve itself might be from the photo, though I doubt it.

Hi everyone this is matt again today in the creek I found a nice bivalve fossil it has been a few years since I have found one of these in my book it says this about the fossil lunulicardium eriensis small to medium-sized ,ovate to rounded triangular shell. Posterior margin straight: anterior margin rounded. surface with 60 to 80 very fine radial lines, and concentric growth lines making low undulations on the surface

My friend found this in Montana a couple of years ago. She thought it was an unusual roce. I think it is a fossilized turtle shell with some bones albeit very small bones. I tried my best to get decent photos.... Anyone want to weigh in on what it is? Thanks for any input.

Hi All! I found this possible nautilus fossil shell on the beach. It has nacre and also is quite fossilised on the ends. Any help with ID would be very appreciated. Thankyou!

Hi, I would really like some help to ID this fossil shell. Is it a brachiopod ? What time would this be from? I found this in the quicksilver almaden county park in California. There were quite a few similar shell fossils, Parts of them are visible in this piece of rock itself. Thanks a lot !

Found this, what looks like a shell in granite. Riverbed in Wallonia, south of Belgium. River, the Ourthe (or Semois). Any chance this could be named or roughly dated?

Good evening everyone! Hope everyone is safe and healthy! Found this little (15mm) "ammonoid", that, to the best I can find is an example of a ridged ammonite Neoglyphioceras sp? (Unklesbay Common fossils of Missouri 1973). It was found in Pennsylvanian Winterset limestone in Kansas City. Is this a fair observation/guess? Thanks for any input! Bone
