From the album: 1925 Body & Trace Fossil Collection - Ocean
These are the single shell, no matrix specimens. pic 1-4, I believe is the sand sediment taken from the location of these "Ocean Album" fossils. It was laying with the bone section of the collection, however none of the other bone in the collection have this appearance. -

A few of these fossils not only have the remains of shells but very rare fossilized worms -

I found this shell along with several others on some property we just purchased in central, east Louisiana. I also discovered a large porous white rock with large marks in it that seem to be coral maybe? I'm completely new to this and I honestly have no idea what I have, but I think its beautiful! Any ideas as to would it could possibly be are greatly appreciated

We found this while cutting trails in our forest, on the banks of our spring fed natural pond. We live in southeast Oklahoma, in the Ouachita National Forest, in the Kiamichi River Valley. All of which used to be underwater eons ago. Every single person who has seen it in person, has said it looks like a petrified turtle. It’s heavy like stone & the top is darker with a slight greenish tint & is very smooth & not rough like the bottom or like a rock. The outdoor lighter is 12 inches long. Thank you so much in advance, for your help & insights into what it could possibly be!

Three photos of this strange find. My son and I found this as is on a mountain trail on Fossil Ridge Mountain. I have no idea what this is, I would guess it is some sort of shelled sea creature, a little smaller than a baseball. If someone could enlighten me, my so and I would be grateful. Thanks for looking!

A few months ago I won an auction presented by @RJB. In it was a sand dollar that was encrusted by some coquina, so I worked on getting most of it off. When poking around in the stuff earlier this morning, I found a tiny little shell, just barely over 1/2 mm in size & very fragile. I got a couple pics of it with my dino lite, but to see detail I had to get creative. Had the onboard LEDs turned way down, but it was still washing it out, so I took 1 pic & shut them off. I then used a small LED flashlight with weak batteries & got a couple decent enough pics with some side lighting. Hopefully this will be enough for an ID. I really have no way to take an edge on view at this point with it being so fragile. The 1st pic shows some nice ribbing detail. Unfortunately, I have no idea where it's from & I don't think he knew either.

Sorry I don't know where this comes from exactly. It was found at an estate sale in Texas. Was told it was a part of a collectors pieces from Southwest U.S. and was presented as Native American. So far Native American people think it is a fossil so here I am asking your opinion. It's heavy, fits in the palm of your hand, has a noticeable single ridge on the humped side, has a hole in the top and a hole in the flatter side; is black in color with many grey channels or etchings on the humped side. In your opinion is this a fossil and if so any idea what it is of? If it helps, it feels kind of cool to touch. Thank you for your interest and time.

Today I found a few interesting things on the beach while on a holiday on the north-west coast of Spain. Below is an oyster shell with an oily silver colour. As well as that I also found bit of bone that could be interesting or just tourist chicken bone.

Hello everyone and thanks in advance for any help or ideas. Earlier this summer my friend moved to South Dakota and purchased a home. A few days ago he was cleaning out a shed on the property and found a cardboard box filled with the fossils seen below. It is unknown if the prior owner had found these on the property or if they had been purchased elsewhere. So unfortunately he has no idea where or when these were originally found. Neither of us have much experience in this but obviously fossils such as these catch your attention! If anyone wants or needs additional pictures let me know and I will see if he can send more. I have included mostly pictures of the skull and teeth as I figured they would likely be most helpful for identification. It is assumed all these pieces belong together but it is possible it is just a random collection. The pictures in order are: skull facing front, skull bottom, skull side (close up), three different angles of the jaw/teeth, and then one pic of all the pieces together with a ruler to get a ballpark idea of sizing. Hope you guys enjoy the pics and hopefully someone out there has some guesses. Thanks!

Here's another find I came across a while ago which looks to me like an intact oyster that has fossilized but I'm not sure on this. It almost looks like granite, but the shape is exactly the size of a small oyster - it seems to have some flakiness to it as well on the sides. Any thoughts on this? I tried to photograph all sides. If this was fossilized, any idea how old this would be?
