Location is kem kem beds, seller said less than 5% restoration. I know nothing about claws but this one almost looks too good to be true and too perfect but I’m not sure how to definitively tell if it’s real or fake
-
7 inches long, seller stated it has repairs but no restoration. He said the root is from the original tooth, the root looks suspect but I’m no expert

Hello. A friend of mine has a fossil tyrannosaur and spinosaur tooth and was looking to confirm the identification. Unfortunately, he doesn't have much locality information. First, the tyrannosaur tooth. He says it comes from around Red Deer, Alberta. No other information. Next the spino tooth. Comes from "Morocco, I think." Is it spinosaurid? The tooth doesn't have the usual Kem Kem colors. Thanks for your help.

Hi there i continue to maintain my very very amateur status but I've been trying to read the different threads on here regarding spinosaurus jaw and what I gathered so far is pitting is reflective of croc jaw and if it only has a single socket or also makes it difficult to determine if its spino or croc. I found this one on our favorite auction site and wanted to get your opinion

Hello everybody, this is all my new bones from morocco, i need many precision on it, if you could. I know they are few publication of Kem Kem but you coule maybe help me. Firstly, i have those two vert, i don’t have idea for the identification. The smallest is clearly a reconstruction, perhaps with a piece of rib.

Spinosaurus teeth, is it real?
WindFallen posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
Hello! I’m new here and I was wondering if anyone here could help me. I’m a complete novice to all of this and the reason I’m here is because I wanted to buy my brother some Spinosaurus teeth as a gift, as they are his favorite, but I wanted to make sure what I’m buying is authentic or if it’s been repaired. I hope I’ve found a reputable site, but I would like to ask anyone’s opinion just to be on the safe side. The first one is 2.67 long. The second is 2.61. Both are said to be from the Kem Kem Beds. Any help would be very much appreciated! Thank you in advance! -

Spinosaurus Aegypticus - jaw fragment ?
InvestableCards posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
Hi all. I'm looking to buy a Spinosaurus jaw, or at least a piece of one. I know that a lot of crocodile jaws are fashioned and fitted with teeth to resemble one, with some distinct differences to the structure and composition of the bone. This one is being sold by a reputable seller as authentic with no repair/restoration (though I'm presuming the teeth have been added). It appears to be all good from my limited experience and looks like it should, both in structure and composition. I was just hoping to get some more opinions from all you lovely people on here, as I'm not overly knowledgeable on these. This one is small and approx 4 inches long x 3 inches high. Many thanks for any input. Found:- Tegana Formation, Aptian, Cretaceous, Kem Kem Basin, Morocco, North Africa. Age:- 100 Million Years Old.- 22 replies

Hi all. I have a thread in another section of the forum about this, but figured this may also be a relevant place to make a post. I've had some interesting and helpful opinions so far, but would like more if possible to help decide it and educate myself and maybe others in the process! I'm looking to purchase a piece of what is labelled as Spinosaurus jaw. I've found what appears to be a small section, being sold by an apparently reputable business. I know from my own research that crocodile jaws are often sold as Spinosaurus jaws, but there are some stark differences between the two in anatomy and appearance. Below are some photos of the jaw, what do you think? Spinosaurus or Crocodile? I know that the teeth are added to the piece, as with virtually all Spino jaws I've seen. Generally it's only unerupted teeth that are present when found if at all. All opinions are respected, please provide some reasoning for either way so that we can educate everyone in the process.

I've got this one fossil that I'm not quite sure how to classify it... It\s supposed to be a fossil Pterosaur tooth found in Kem Kem Beds of Morocco.... 1.75" long... However, it doesn't match any of my Pterosaur teeth... Or Crocodile, or Spinosaurus... Is it some sort of fish tooth? Thanks in advance, more pics if needed...

Hey guys and gals, would love an opinion on this tooth I found online. I think I am seeing a repair to the tip, but other than that it almost looks TOO perfect to me. Thoughts? Especially @Troodon and @Susan from PA
