Hello everyone. May I know if this is the material of Spinosaurus? From KemKem Group The size is 29 centimeters. Thanks

Hi everyone! I have my eye on what looks like a nice Spinosaur claw from the kem kem, or at least that what the seller claims it is. It does seem to have that round divot under the base of the proximal end that I've seen described as telltale, but you can never be to careful with kem kem claws which might just be the most outright faked fossil on the market so I figured I'd ask for an independent opinion on the potential of funny business (besides what looks to be one or two repaired breaks near the tip). Measurements given are 8.5 x 3 cm. Any insight is appreciated as always!

Hi everyone! I'm actually fairly certain this is Spinosaur based on the S. aegyptiacus holotype drawing which shows a vertebra with a bump of bone on the bottom and nothing on the sides of the centrums (I cropped that part for a reference) but Kem Kem stuff is weird so I figured it would be a good idea to get a second opinion. The bone measures 10.1 cm tall without the bump of matrix on top, 5.4 cm long, and the centrum widths are 5.15 and 6.15 cm. Any insight is greatly appreciated as always! Also Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi everyone! I speaking with a fossil dealer about potentially purchasing a big claw from Morocco It doesn't look like it's fake or restored the question is the id. Can anyone offer insight if it's deltadromaeus, dromaesaur, or something else? It measures a bit over 2.5 inches along the curve. Thanks as always!

2021: Spinosaurus Claw Authenticity?
Anika22 posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
I was recently presented with the fossil below as a gift that was supposedly excavated and sourced from Morocco. As I'm not an expert, for insurance purposes..looking to confirm the authenticity if this is an Spinosaurus claw or not; thanks in advance for your time and consideration:- 21 replies

Good morning, long short story 2 weeks ago O bought some bulk spinosaur teeth. 7 of them are clearly Spinosaur, but this one looks so thin and weird and doesn't look as a spinosaur. Maybe they send to me a wrong one? What do you think guys?

Here is a new one - Although the seller does state in the description that they are sculptures, they are being sold under fossils, and there is no mention of the fact in the title, which advertises it as "dinosaur fossil" Combined with the ridiculous prices, it seems a bit shady to me. Most people will easily be able to recognize this for what it is, but, I am disturbed by the lack of info in the title. I hope no one is naive enough to pay the price. Buyer beware.
