Found in a farm field in the western lower peninsula of Michigan. I was thinking stromatolite but I'm not so sure. Also, it looks like limestone but steel won't scratch it, and it doesn't react to acid. What do you think?

at first glance this small stone looks to have an impression in it the thing is the stone is smooth to the touch I found this stone in the drive did not have a ruler with me or a coin so you may have to judge its size by my finger found in driveway gravel from Brazos river west of Houston Texas.

I was just wondering what some of y'all might think of this rock? I found it in a creekbed at a location where I have found several artifacts and fossils but wasn't sure what to think about this rock and it is intriguing to me.

We found this while cutting trails in our forest, on the banks of our spring fed natural pond. We live in southeast Oklahoma, in the Ouachita National Forest, in the Kiamichi River Valley. All of which used to be underwater eons ago. Every single person who has seen it in person, has said it looks like a petrified turtle. It’s heavy like stone & the top is darker with a slight greenish tint & is very smooth & not rough like the bottom or like a rock. The outdoor lighter is 12 inches long. Thank you so much in advance, for your help & insights into what it could possibly be!

Found this rock whilst walking along a beach in Jersey in the Channel Islands, I’m no expert but my instincts are telling me it was a plant rather than a creature of any kind. Hope someone can enlighten me.

Hello! Check out this beach weirdo! Found on the Yorkshire Coast along an ice age clay cliff-face. Looks like iron or metal wrapped around stone? Can this happen naturally and then erode like this through sea action? Weird!

Hello! This (potential?) fossil was found down at lake Huron by Goderich Ontario, Canada. It was given to me by someone else because the pattern is reminiscent of a spider web. I'm more of an arachnid collector than a fossil collector, so I have no idea where to begin with this one! I hoped someone would have an idea of what it is, if it's a fossil at all! It's about 1 inch and 1/3rd in diameter, and roughly one half 2/3rds of an inch 'tall' when laid flat. It may be difficult to tell from the images, but the 'front' dips inwards towards the center. I hope that helps in addition to the images.

I found this polished stone at the beach recently. It looks like a sandwich made of wood. At first I thought petrified wood but the central part has tiny pores like a bone. Ideas?

Hi everyone! I found this yesterday on a pebbley/rocky shore near Solva in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, UK. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be? The stone is roughly 15cm x 15cm and was found on the mid shore. Thanks in advance! Hannah
