I dug these two up in my backyard. Only 7 or 8 inches deep in the soil. I am wondering if they are teeth fossils since they seem similar in shape and were found in the same area. It would be great if someone with expertise could give me their opinion. Thanks!

Hi guys, This tooth was sold as a small Carcharodontosaurus tooth but I tend to say it is an Abelisaurid. The tooth is 2 cm and from the Ifezouane formation. There is not an noticeable difference in serrations on the side. The serration ridge on one side is bowing. What do you think?

Found these worn little teeth in one of my boxes from a past trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Cretaceous, Pliocene and Pleistocene aged material can be found here. I doubt a species can be pinned down, but are they fish teeth? Tooth 3 looks maybe croc to me but I’m not sure. Any ideas welcome! Tooth 1 is 7mm long Tooth 2 is 10mm long Tooth 3 is 12mm long

Found Myrtle beach, South Carolina where Cretaceous, Pliocene, and Pleistocene aged material can be found. These teeth were mixed in one of my past years shark tooth boxes. The first one I thought could be just a very worn sharks tooth but it’s equally wide on both sides from the edge which I haven’t seen in sharks teeth. Any suggestions welcome! Tooth 1 is 11mm long and Tooth 2 is 12mm long.

I have these shark tooth fossils which I purchased for about $5 in Florida. I tried my best to group them according to appearance, but I'm not sure how well I did. They all need IDs.

Hey all, I've never been to shark river in New Jersey before. I was curious if someone can give me an update on how it produces shark teeth fossils. Is it true That it's possible to find Megs and bigger teeth than say Big Brook in New Jersey? jm very interested in going, and if anyone wouldn't mind offering me suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it. I do not need to know your lucky spots lol. I'm just a guy who has never been there before and could use some guidance. I just want to find a bigger tooth! Lol

Hello forum friends, I have another batch of teeth I’m trying to ID. I’m not sure but I think 1, 3 & 4 are the same. #2 I believe to be troodontid and specifically Stenonychosaurus sp. #5 is pretty cool with that huge root but no clue what it belongs to. Thanks for looking and any input!

Today I got a quick one hour hunt in, tide was lower than I’ve had in a while but I could tell many people had passed through prior to me. Because of this no particularly large teeth but a nice hemi with a lightning strike. As I was walking along I was ecstatic to find my first cetacean vert, looked dolphin/porpoise (odontocete), excellent neural arch! I was then surprised to see two sieves not three feet away. I assumed they had found it and left it, as I could see them 20 yards away, one was my age (mid-late teen) and a younger (brother?) person walking with him. I went along my way. Golden rule of fossil hunting: don’t take what another hath found. I already have (albeit buoght) similar ones so I wasn’t too bothered. Not too far away I found a nice piece of whale rib and a concretion with another piece of rib embedded. It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out the two fit together, I’ll have to prep that one out. Anyway, I came back down to the place the sieves were and the two kids had started back. I was flabbergasted to see the vert was still there! I grabbed it, and ran over to them. I asked them if they had left it they said no. I gave it to them, and they seemed happy. Sounded like tooth hounds (which is not a bad thing) and I don’t think they knew what it was, so I told them it was a dolphin vertabra. I hope that will help those two get more into fossils. Anyway, not far away I saw this dreadful digging in the cliffs. Whoever did it left the shovel there This is illegal is it not? Even if it isn’t it is extremely dangerous and ill-advised (so don’t none of y’all do it!). lastly, I had a pleasant conversation with a pair of mallard ducks, however the conversation was rather one-sided. They must be very used to people. No big teeth but some nice bones. Will get pictures up soon, starting with the “potholes” and the ducks.

I'm going to take a trip from Miami to Pennsylvania to see some family. I was also considering to fossil hunt myself for something to do. I've only hunted in the Peace River, however, and I don't have much experience of actual digging. I'm trying to find some good spots that I can almost definitely find something interesting like a well preserved trilobite or something. I'm also interested in places like Red Hill to find some teeth and bone, or places with diverse ferns and lycopods. I only have a day to do it, so I probably wouldn't be too intrusive. I'd probably be staying in Indiana or Dubois (which me and my mother could significantly raise the population) but I don't want to be too far east from there. I just want to know some good spots and some tips to find the best fossils. thank you!

Real Morocco Mosasaur teeth?
Seguidora-de-Isis posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
In this small lot, the seller is selling several Morocco Mosasaur teeth. Please, then I have two questions: 01 - Are all these teeth real? 02 - Is there any way to distinguish which one is Prognathodon, Halisaurus and etc? Thanks for all the comments! Teeth 01 Teeth 02 Teeth 03 Teeth 04 -
Hello all! First of all, happy Easter to all Christians! Hope you are all having a wonderful day,Easter or not Easter. I was curious to know, which Tyrannosaurid teeth are the rarest complete??? Does it depend on...? Is it THE T-Rex or is it another Tyrannosaurid? I would want to know more about these incredible beasts. Do you know how many Tyrannosaurid species exists? What is the real Tyrannosaurid tooth jackpot? Kind regards for your help and comments. (Don’t quite know if this is the adequate topic... feel free to redirect it.) Thomas

I bought this a few years ago at a rock and mineral event. I don’t know what it is and if it is real. It seems very legit. I’m trying to sell it soon on eBay to make some extra cash. I don’t know much about fossils and I’m hoping someone can help. Thanks

Hello from a newbie in Central New York. I would appreciate it if anyone could identify the fossil in the attached photograph. I believe it is a tooth, but have not been able to find it on the internet. It has very complex, repeating stages in its structure. Thanks for any guidance on this! Norm
