Although we do not normally collect trilobite fossils, this is the first time we have included acanthopyge sp. I know that this fossil is quite rare and valuable among trilobite fossils. It seems to be a cool trilobite that appeared in the Devonian period!

I found these two pieces in the Drakes formation of Louisville, Kentucky a little while ago. I'm 85% sure that these are molt fragments from Isotelus maximus but needed a second opinion. One could argue that these are simply iron coatings on pebbles, but if you look at the second one, the "coating" dips down into the pebble, and is also mixed in with a few other fossils such as vinlandostrophia. Then again I could still be wrong, I have been before.

Large Yongshunensis, Rough Prep or Partially Faked?
Kurufossils posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
I will be receiving soon what looks to be a large youngshunensis trilobite, while I am aware of fakes from china I'm not sure if specimens of this trilobite like this just have real rough prep work done to them or if maybe there is some sort of carving involved. Any knowledgeable feedback to whether its a keeper or not will be greatly appreciated, always wanted to nab one of these. -
A while ago I bought this Gerastos trilobite from Morocco. It has strange minerals in the matrix. It has pockets of a green mineral that sort of glimmers in the light. It also has lines of a white mineral, which fluoresce under black light. If anyone has any idea what these are I'd be interested to hear.
