Since Saturday was my only day off (Yes, the hottest real-feel <temp +humidity> day of the year so far!) I went fossil/mineral collecting, yard-sailing, thrift shopping, i.e. out for the day. I came across a new to me spot in a borrow pit in Sinking Valley outside of Altoona PA. I believe that this is Ordovican, Coburn Formation. This limey shale falls apart in your hands. I'd really like to know what the curved pointy thing is (both sides shown in 1st pic).
Thanks for any help.
