After growing up in Cincinnati, the Ordovician has become my favorite fossil period. I would like to acquire an Ordovician scaphopod (tusk shell) in a effort towards completing my mollusc specimens. I have a number of items to trade. This might include an Ordovician Flexicalymene meeki trilobite that I found, or possibly an Ordovician brachiopod or gastropod. I also have other fossils to trade that might be of interest. If you are interested, send me an image of your specimen for trade and I will send you images of items that you might consider trading.

Again from my "museum". This one was found in Warren county outside St. Louis and as close as I could tell at the time, it appeared to be an imprint of a "tusk shell". Guess it could also be curved nautaloid? Haven't changed that opinion, but haven't advanced my knowledge as much as I should have either! Thanks for any thoughts!! Bone

Hi Fossil Forum, I need help in identifying a fossil my friend found in middle Georgia. The area where he found it has been reported to have fossils from the Ordovician Period. It was found in a soft limestone sedimentary rock and appears to be a tusk shell or a sea urchin spine. Any idea what this is? Thanks, Darren
