I found this shell on the rock ledge of Little Tribune Bay on Hornby Island on Sept 12,2019. I’m a total amateur fossil hunter but after some research, I wonder if it’s a glycymerdid. Of course since I know absolutely nothing about fossils except what I can find on the web that might match my find, i’m turning to the Forum for your expertise. I hope someone can tell me if this is even a fossil and if so, what it is. Thanks, Cricket.

Found on Hornby Island, Fossil Beach, September 13, 2019. Need help identifying this fossil. Looks like a bivalve to me but i am still pretty new to fossil identification. I will have to post a ‘part 2’ to upload the second photo.

Hi, I wonder if someone could please ID this Ammonite for me? I found it on the west side of Hornby Island, B.C., on Vancouver Island at Manning Pt., near a spot the locals call the "shark-tooth shale". It is about 2 inches in diameter (50mm) and Late Cretaceous in age (possibly Lambert Formation?). Thanks, Greg
