Hello everyone, I received this Carboniferous fern fossil along with many others from @Fossildude19 earlier this week. The largest one in the picture caught my eye due to the interesting shape of the pinnules, they are quite elongated and the ones lower down on the pinna are somewhat spiky at the base. I tried doing some research but was unable to find any ferns that had these structures. Any help is appreciated. Thank you very much, Misha

Good day, I'm looking at this fossil fern plate from the Llewellyn Formation in St. Clair Pennsylvania. I suspect that these are Alethopteris ferns. I'd like some help to verify their species name. Age: Pennsylvanian Formation: Llewellyn Location: Near St. Clair, Pennsylvania

I'm thinking a branch with leaves from high in the crown. Is the object shown in the right photo a bit larger branch that is missing it's leaves, or am I way off on the whole thing ? That third shot is a closer one of the piece in the center photo.
