Hi I found this one a beach England, I know nothing around fossils but it stood out as looks really like a tooth, due to fuel colour, one for where the root may have been when in the gum and one for the actual tooth. It’s shaped very much like a teeth (on display) I have seen before so got me interested. mid I could have this identified that would be really cool.

One of the smaller specimines, but that just makes for better details! Found this little guy in what I call the upper Winterset Limestone member from the Dennis Formation. This pygidium less than 5mm. -

So many shark, dinosaurs topic! Now I want to see your favourite and more particular fossil mammal! It can be your rarest or your strangest fossil but the fossil you love the most. Let me start with this partial juvenile metailurus mandible from Hipparion red clay of Gansu. The erupting tooth still preserve a perfect micro crenulation, I just love it.

Looking to see if anyone can tell me what I found. Big 1 looks to be solid quartz. The 2 small ones are as big as a finger.

Hi here is some fossils I’m willing to trade Here is some small crinoid stems from Belleville area ontario next is some horn coral from Ontarios side of Lake Erie from a Devonian reef next is a Madagascar ammonite with colours of pink orange and yellow from mineralization and then I have fossilized fish skin and some other cool unknown Devonian fossils from the same area the horn coral came from and all I want is just anything cool any kind of fossil I don’t have yet thanks.

My new Early Permian Reptiliomorph (Discosauriscus austriacus) fossil

I just added this wonderful specimen to my collection. The species is discosauriscus. Little is known about the species other than the fact that they were predators based off of teeth. They may of had electrospective organs. On this slab running through the head of the specimen is a thick calcite seam from where the rock was faulted and shifted. This was found in the Czech Rebublic in the Limnic Deposits. This is the first fossil I've purchased all the others in my collection I have found. -
I’ve found two different rocks like this, both remind me of conglomerate. I’ve found a dark blue stone and this orange one. I need help identifying it. They seem pretty plentiful around my house in southeast Washington. Any help works. Thanks!!

I have some pictures of weird creatures that I had been collecting online(pictures, not creatures), but never getting around to anything with them, and I keep having to delete them to make room, so I figured I'd just make a thread dedicated to the idea, instead of a thread each time there's a crazy knew whatever I come across. Please feel free to give any info or thoughts, answers or questions about anything brought up, and if there's any weird or particularly cool creature you want to mention, go ahead and post about it, preferably with a picture. it's ok if you don't have a picture, for instance someone might not even know what it's called, and can only describe it some. go right ahead and bring up something new anytime, or to bring something from earlier back up, even if it hasn't been talked about in awhile. If you're posting about something that's not currently being talked about, just be sure to either start by quoting something about it from before, or just preface your post with what thing you're talking about, that way people will know what you're talking about, and won't get confused. I did this pic for friends that wanted to get an idea of what the fossils I collect look liked when alive. The hardest to explain are phyllocarids and cephalopods. This is a self collected specimen that I posted recently under - Upper Devonian of NY. Its not perfect but it did the job. Now explaining to them how they can be found in NY and that an ocean was here for many millions of years.

I was given this tooth as a gift. I'm guessing it's a shark tooth. I'm from the Uk but im guessing it is from another country. What type of shark tooth is it? Thank you.

Some things have been competing for my fossil time lately, most notably work, but for good reason. Although a few weeks over the last couple of years on this project have taken me to the 80-90 hour mark, it has overall been a privilege to design some major portions of the 2017 Ford GT heating and air conditioning system. I've picked up some new and useful engineering skills and experience along the way. While this fossil buggy may not have the carrying capacity for your next Basilosaurus, it will get you on site and back home at a wife-pleasing 200 MPH. I hope the Pleistocene glacial microclimate has you reaching for the nearest Mammuthus hide. So run out and get yourself a copy or two! I asked Ford to offer one in "Trespasser's Green", to no avail..... While my field time has been a bit abbreviated, fortunately my outings have been fruitful. Perhaps I'll get around to sharing some photos at some point, possibly near year's end.

Hello, I am back! If you didn't know, I buy fossils on the internet sometimes. On EBay, I found a cheap vertabrae. It was only worth 5$ and they said it seemed fossilized, so why not buy it. I got it now, and it definitely is fossilized, just I have no clue what it belongs to. If anyone knows what it might be, tell me. Bye! -Con
