Nesting rock? Ha no really. Scrubbed with toothbrush and dish soap fyi

I have found, what I believe to be a fossilised vertebra, and would like any advice on what species it could be and how old it may be. The item was found along a riverbank. It has a surprising weight for it's size - I can record the exact weight with electronic scales within the next 24 hours. The object appears to be of white bone with a red/iron marrow present through the centre. There are crystals in the recesses which sparkle when the light hits it and when it is wet. The top and bottom of the item are very smooth. The specimen has been washed with warm water and a toothbrush. It ts extremely tactile, a pleasure to hold! I didn't want to put it down until I decided to keep it in a resealable plastic bag. I have some pictures which I will enclose (the sun was setting and so there are long shadows cast - magnify the images for better clarity) - I am a novice photographer! I also have a short video which could be sent via WhatsApp. I have contacted my local museum and left a voice message - the museum closed for refurbishment for 2 years about a week ago!

Hi from Oklahoma. Please forgive any errors or posting faux pas. I did read the intro info but I might have missed something. And any tag suggestions would be welcome as well. I don't really go searching for rocks or fossils as much as they find me. As a landscaper, I spend a lot of time in their domain. I have a couple clients with big rock gardens that have indulged my love of collecting a few of their pretty or interesting rocks here & there. I know literally nothing about the rocks and fossils I've found other than they all caught my eye in some special way and have been found in the context of a flower bed. There's one in particular that sent me searching for answers. I'll post it one the fossil id forum next. I'm so interested to learn more. I have nieces and nephews at the first love of dinosaurs stage and would love to be able to teach them something too. I've added some pictures of my favorite ones. I appreciate this forum and it's contributors. I'm not an intentional fossil hunter but a passive rock collector seeking specimens for my gardens. I currently live in NE Kansas where Pennsylvania limestone is abundant. A recent acquisition piqued my curiosity and since discovering this forum realize I have a few past local and travel finds I would like to inquire about. What a fantastic and fascinating community this is !

I've noticed over the years that I've been a forum member when someone posts a picture, I first look at the topic then peruse every thing around the photo subject. And from the comments I see, that others do the same thing. Kind of like finding out something new about the poster or did he or she accidentally show us something else. Anyway, as I continue to try and clean up my mess in my fossil/hobby room in the basement I snapped a few photos, and wondering what things you might find interesting on my desk or post some pictures of your own spaces on this thread. As I cleaned I found a lot of rocks and fossils that don't make the "cut" any more and will go out to the fossil barn or a few to the driveway. Curious items that I can't remember where I found them or in the case of many, how they ended up in my pocket.
