Hey all, I've had this stone with me for over 20 years now and have always wondered if it was actually something or just a random luck-of-the-draw design on a rock. It was found in the Buffalo, New York area if that helps. Any kind of insights would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all, Just wanted to share with you the new logo I recently finished for my World Of Fossils website (I said previously that I would try to get it done by the end of 2017... But it's gonna take longer than that, because I basically have to restart. At first I was using Weebly, a simple drag-and-drop, but I decided to actually move on to my own domain and program everything using HTML, CSS and others. I'm lucky that my ICT teacher is helping me. So it's gonna take quite some time still before the website is finished I'm afraid.) Anyways, so here is the logo. I watermarked it for copyright safety issues (as it's going publicly online, I'm scared that someone might steal the logo and claim it as their own). So, some info about it: the programs I used were Inkscape and Paint.net. The globe in the middle is a reconstruction of Pangea. The three fossils are, from left to right: a trilobite Gerastos tuberculensis from Morocco (bought), a cowshark tooth Notorhynchus cepedianus from Calvert Cliffs (traded), and a scallop Mimachlamys varia from the Zandmotor (found). All fossils from my collection. The drawings are made from actual pictures of the fossils. I quite like it, let me know what you think of it! Best regards, Max

I am asking all of you sifters for your input as to whether I am crazy for modifying WAHAMA's design. Will this work? All thoughts good or bad are welcomed. You can be cruel. WAHAMA90 8 Advanced Member Members 8 82 posts Posted January 2 · Report post Didn't get out to the cliffs this weekend, so I decided to make a floating sifter. This one has 1/4 screen in it. I am going to make another one that has 1/8 screen, but I'll have a smaller 1/4 screen that fits over it along with a scoop that I can pour water over the larger screen. I think I will fashion some sort of strap on it so I can carry it on my back so that I can still surface collect until I get to a good sifting spot. Now my modification: Floats are not attached yet. 4 bolts are secured to the underlying 1/4 inch screen and the 1/2 inch screen can be slipped on top easily. my concern is water intake into the upper sifter since holes can't be sealed. Also, I have left the handles detatchable so that it will fit into a suitcase easier. Again suggestions or criticism is welcomed. Not sure why my pictures are so dark. Sorry!!!
