Dromaeosaur claw restored?
JorisVV posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
According to someone I know. Bought this claw as an unrestored handclaw of a dromaeosaur from the Morrison formation. Near Casper. Just under 3" long. He bought without any hesitation and I am very skeptical of it. What are you guys thoughts? Again. I am definitely not buying it, just wondering.- 2 replies

Hell Creek Dromaeosaur or Troodon Partial Humerus.... OR plain turtle?
rkfrace posted a topic in Fossil ID
Hello beloved community. Anybody able to weigh in on this specimen's ID. It was labelled as "Dromaeosaur or Troodon Humerus, Hell Creek, Harding County, South Dakota. 1 and a half inches" My hope is that the ID is correct, and the humerus belongs to a baby. My fear is that it's 'just' a Hell Creek turtle humerus. All insight deeply appreciated!- 1 reply

Hello! I’ve had this tooth for a while now and always labeled it as nannotyrannus, since that’s what I bought it as. It’s about .8” long, supposed to be from the Hell Creek formation but no other locality was listed, so I understand an ID might not be 100%. I was just wondering broadly if it was a tryannosaur or dromeosaur tooth. At first I thought tyrannosaur because it’s kind of thick for its size and has large serrations. It also looks like it has “pinching” on only the right side in the base picture which made me think it was a nanno tooth specifically. Then I saw a picture posted on the forum of a similar sized tooth with the same profile listed as dromeosaur. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

Buonasera ! Browsing online looking for KK teeth, I came across a site that sells several products, including these "raptor teeth" from KK. Is this plausible? I don't think I've ever read about dromaeosaurids found in the KKB, furthermore some would seem to have the appearance of being small carcharodontosaurus teeth...

Hello! I found these foot bones (called tarsals I believe?) from Wibaux county Mt in the Hell Creek formation. The seller says that there’s a possibility these are theropod bones, specifically saying bone 1 might be a dromeosaur bone, and bone 2 could possibly be from a tyrannosaur. I looked at some photos online and the only real difference I could tell is some of the dromeosaur bones could be proportionally longer. I also don’t know how to tell if these are even from dinosaurs or some other reptile/bird. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Another one from a particular online bidding site - this is listed as a Velociraptor mongoliensis tooth, sourced from the Gobi Desert, Mongolia. The seller describes the tooth as 15mm long, but unfortunately there aren't any other measurements. The colour is quite similar to Kem Kem teeth, but I have seen reddish fossil material from the Djadokhta formation. There are some prominent denticles at the distal base but the rest look worn off. Any thoughts?

Hi everyone! I've been going over some small Hell Creek Theropod teeth and this one stood out to me. The serrations on the mesial side are pretty worn but using my microscope I was able to find a few enough remnants to get a measurement. The mesial serrations near the tip were pretty intact as well and I got a similar density there. CH 11 mm CBL 7 mm CBW 2.5 mm 7.3 denticle/mm mesial 7 denticle/mm mesial tip 4.19 denticle/mm distal mesial carina is completely straight, serrations do not extend to base. So what do you all think? Is it Dakotaraptor?

Good morning buds! Managed to acquire for a very affordable price this theropod tooth, told from Judith River Formation. The seller believe it's Saurornitholestes langstoni, but some guys from my instagram account where I have posted it suggested it's a small tyrannosaurid. The only pic is missing is the base view, but the tooth base is almost rectangular. Very flat. Can't spot the denticle tips pointing up on mesial carina. If someone can tell out more from it it would be really appreciated! Thank for your time, have a nice day!

Hey guys, I saw this shown as a “raptor”/dromaeosaur claw. What do you guys think? Is it dromaeosaurid? Is it a dinosaur claw?
