Fossils found during my childhood, never succeeded in identifying them
bobby_Pendragon posted a topic in Fossil ID
Hello everybody, I found many fossils when I was a child, and I never managed to identify some of them. It has been puzzling me for many, many years. I would be very thankful if someone could help me find out what these are and help me solve this mystery! The three unidentified fossils below have been found in the Minganie Regional County Municipality, Québec, Canada. They come from the Ordovician-Silurian period, at the boundary between the two periods I believe. The region is extremely rich in fossils. 1. Is it a tooth, a shelled mollusk, or something else? It does not look like a shark tooth, or any mollusk I know. 2. I am not even sure if this is a fossil, but it looks like a tree trunk... 3. No idea what this is... Maybe the shell of a mollusk halfway visible? Thank you! -Bobby_Pendragon- 16 replies
