I thought you guys might wanna see some of my more complete pterygotids. Most are Acutiramus macrophthalmus. Most were found by me too in the Bertie group. Many thanks to Allan Lang for his extreme generosity to me. The big black blob on the mortality plate is from a massive pterygotid and I also attached a image of the biggest claw I found.

Hello to all. 3 samples from my collection. Place of find - Ukraine, Khmelnytsky region; age - Silurian, Ludlow Series (425-427 Ma). All samples have retained positive and negative. 1. Slab with several sea-scorpions Eurypterus Tetragonophtalmus. I think a good preparation will open as many as 2 or 3 sea-scorpions.

Hey everyone!!! I haven't posted anything here since I joined but why not introduce myself. Hello I'm Dean I'm 15 years old and from Pennsylvania, I mainly collect eurypterids!!! I have been able to pursue my eurypterid addiction through having access to Langs quarry, me and Allan Lang are close friends. He's extremely generous and lets me keep just about everything I find, I have only went on 1 trophy hunt, I have spent 10 days at the Quarry in total Allan is very kind : ) . Anyways ill attach some of my favorite eurypterids and scorpions from my collection below. Ill probably post more stuff here like trip reports etc. in the future. First is a Dolichopterus, then Eurypterus Laculatus, Proscorpius, Acutiramus (Pterygotid). All self collected.

This piece was found at Quqing, Yunnan of China. It’s Devonian formation. I’d it a segment of pterygotus?

Greetings forum members! I was looking through the last rocks from my latest fossil hunt and I found this interesting piece. Its a partial Pterygotid body segment! I had broken it and I thought I had thrown it back but apparently I kept like 80% of it. I glued it back together as best I could last night and was looking more closely when I found something interesting. I’m not completely sure but I have a hunch that the one end of this fossil might have predation marks from a larger Pterygotid. Could this be true or did it just break weird when it was molted? I was wondering if anybody on the forum could help me out with this. Thanks for looking! Owen

Amazing preservation, see closeup images for detail of ornamentation. This near complete specimen is large; about 20 cm in cranial-caudal dimension. At the end of the search, I was sitting in the ATV drinking water, and happen to glance out to the right, when to my shock there was a complete scorpion (Proscorpius Osborni) sitting within easy reach in plain sight!! Mr Lang kept the scorpion in order to try to find the mirror image fossil counterpart, and said he'll let me know if/when he might make it available for sale. I have right of first refusal, at least. On plate I took had both a small Pterygotus claw and the coxa of a giant Pterygotus. 5 cm make sure you click on the image and zoom in to see the detail of the carapace surface
