The Stylolites, of Oaks Quarry Park, in Fairborn Ohio, very close to the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and Dayton Ohio. The main reason for this post is to show the Stylolites that are found at this park. And hoping that they/this is picked up by the search engines. When you search for Stylolites, the results that come up for this particular mineral formation are vague in the best, so I am hoping this will just put the photos and information about these, into search engines to help people in the future. I know that these come up occasionally in my fossil group and I know what they are but finding information to post on them is not easy. Maybe I should also do this on Wikipedia. Any specific information anyone has on these would also be helpful. Thank you I hope everyone is doing well as it has been a long time since I have posted due to my was health condition time is limited and so much to do. Ziggie This is just the post I have in my group on these for future reference and general information. "We have the stylolites, a mineral formation, come up quite often. so here are a few photos of mine from oaks quarry park near Dayton Ohio. These are a pressure formation somehow, I do not understand that, but they are interesting, and very interesting that somehow considered a pressure formation. On the one, end view of it and you can see there is actually no structure on the inside, just an extremely fine grain interior. These are taken with my Phone, and the close-ups are with the Cozy Magnifier, app."
