Does anyone know what this is? I found it in Rhode Island, on the outskirts of the Narragansett basin. It looks symmetrical and segmented. I think it’s an invertebrate fossil, but I really have no idea. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What is this Odd Symmetrical Fossil? northern South Carolina Beach
TheSuddenFox posted a topic in Fossil ID
I found this odd and extremely symmetrical fossil washed up on the northern SC shore. I can best describe it as a rhombohedron (kite shaped, but extended out), about 1.5x1x1cm. It has a straight cut from the top to bottom face, as if it is a nasal structure, but I have no idea. Also the bottom side has 2 circular divots. Any ideas? -

This was washed up by the sea, where shark teeth, pieces of bone, sperm whale teeth, whale inner ear bones and several other common vertebrate fossils can be seen. Location is South Africa, West Coast. Does anybody know the correct I.D. for this particular piece? I thought I had I.D.'d it but i'm not convinced any more. Thanking you in advance.

I collected this piece washed up onto my beach where I have previously found anything from Miocene fossil shark teeth, acheulean period stone tools to Pleistocene horse teeth. It has an interesting symmetrical shape and reminds me of a wolf's face. Not that easy to photograph. Photos below are of all 'sides'. Any help with ID would be fantastic. Thanking you in advance.

Many years ago, a friend from Arizona gave me this item. He didn't know what it is but thought it interesting. Memory fails as to exactly where he found it but he lives in northwest Arizona. I came across it in a box recently and would like to know if it is a fossil or not. Forgive the quality of the photos but it's the best I can do with what I have at the moment. I can take better photos later if anyone needs to see better. (I've labelled the three attached photos arbitrarily as top, bottom, and front.) Can anyone identify this item for me? Thanks, Bill

Thought I'd share this strange concretion. Found 50 miles southeast of nipple mountain. Has anyone ever seen anything like it?

The symmetry in this little feature really is amazing to me. Its about 8mm dia. I'll go out on the limb and guess that it is the mold of a small crinoid holdfast. (its a very slender, shaky limb though) Do you recognize it ? Thanks again
