Hi everyone! I bought a batch of fossils from Tegana Formation, in Morocco. Among the fossils there are those reptile teeth: The seller assures that the five in the top row are Spinosaurus aegyptiacus (or at least Spinosaurid species). The three in the bottom row are reported as Elosuchus cherifiensis. The seller is reliable, however I noticed that the teeth are all very similar to each other. Is there a possibility that they all belong to the Spinosaurus or Elosuchus species? Is there any way to tell the two types of teeth apart? Below I put a few photos of the individual teeth.

I just acquired some new specimens in my Moroccan Kem Kem dinosaur and reptile tooth collection. Thought i'd show you guys the lot. They are all from the Kem Kem/Tegana Formation near Taouz, Morocco. As you can see i love collecting dinosaur and reptile teeth from this area! The larger ones are incredibly rare and virtually non-existant at the formation nowadays. I'm quite proud of them! What do you guys think? P.S- that "Ankylosaur" tooth was infact looked at by Robert Bakker. He thinks it is from an Ankylosaur, which is ultra rare because no Ankylosaurs are known from the formation yet!

Hey all, Recently I got hold of this little jaw (aprox 12cm) but I can't figure out what species. Would any of you have a clue? From the Tegana Formation in Kem Kem. Thanks, Dries

I asked about this guy around a year ago and didn't seem to get a positive answer. Newfound skepticism and a better-ish camera has led me back here. While I trust the dealer I purchased from, he still could have been duped by his supplier. And considering pterosaurs are my favorite creatures, I feel strongly about getting some further input. So here we go. Dealer states it is a Siroccopteryx moroccensis tooth found in the Tegana Formation (part of the Kem Kem Beds), so early Cretaceous. First thing I notice is the cross section. Through some research, it seems that plesiosaur teeth are commonly mixed up with pterosaur teeth. But from what I can find, plesiosaur teeth have a conical shape, and a more circular cross section. My tooth seems to have a more elliptical cross section, which seems to be consistent with pterosaur teeth. Second thing I notice is what I believe to be enamel. I've found that pterosaurs had only a thin layer of enamel compared to many other animals with like teeth (from pterosaur.org.uk for reference), and what I think to be enamel is very thin, though it may be a result of decomposition. I'm referring to the darker brown spots around the tip of the tooth. Finally, the general curvature of the tooth is what I would expect. So am I right in my reasoning to believe this to be as described? Or am I missing something? Hope the pictures are clear enough. Please LMK if they're not. Thanks for any help!
