paleozoicfish
Lets see all your amphibian fossils! Here is a horned amphibian, the skull is on the left and the disarticulated body is behind it to the right. This is from a U. Carboniferous site in Ohio. -PzF
RJB
Hey there paleozoicfish. Im not sure if theres going to be a 'rush' of amphibian photos here? I certainly dont have any. I did see an intire roomful in Tucson, but I wasnt about to pay what they were asking! Heck, even the crappy ones were expensive! Id like to dig for some oneday, just not sure if that day is ever going to come? Nice fossil by the way. RB

siteseer
Agreed, Frank. Amphibians are just plain interesting. They can be pricey and hard to find, but it is fun and certainly worth it. I worked that site in Ohio and probably pulled up 30 or so nice amphibians in 2 years, which is alot. Lots of various fish and shark teeth as well. cheers, -PzF Pzf, The first time I heard about the Linton site was back in the 90's when a friend gave me a piece of the coal matrix that featured a perfect impression of a Xenacanthus tooth. Since then, I've seen one or two amphibians at shows and a couple of shark teeth on Ebay. Is that site still producing? I've heard yes and no. There was at least one scientific article on it and a mainstream article as well.
paleozoicfish
The site is now closed, property is sold. It was producing to those who had permission until last year. cheers, -PzF
Nicholas
There is supposedly a wide variety of upper carboniferous amphibians on my island but they are mostly found as fossil tracks.. anyone have a few of these I can use for referencing (and to know what I'm looking for)
