paleoflor
The segmented structure (most visible on photos 2 and 3) resembles Artisia somewhat. However, very little information is given (locality, age, etc.) and this renders any identification dubious. Any chance the fossil is Carboniferous in age? paleoflor
If the age is indeed Carboniferous, I would suggest Artisia, a fossil genus comprizing pith cast fossils of Cordaites. The segmented nature of the central structure, combined with the apearance of the outer imprints (coalified, to some extent), suggests this.
