Fossil found in Peace River needs ID

Mammoth teeth are huge. and seem to be made of plates stuck together with a Dentin "glue". The plates split apart over time in the rough and tumble floods in the Peace River. You have found approximately 25% of a plate.

All decent sized plate pieces are good finds.

I agree, it's a mammoth tooth plate. You could compare also with these plates, although these are from Mammuthus primigenius. post-17588-0-54794800-1459539355_thumb.jpg

Any suggestions on how to preserve my find? I don't want to damage it. I plan to frame the mammoth tooth section.

I usually just wash Peace River finds with a toothbrush and water. Otherwise keep it like it is.
