Teeth of some kind? Help

Shellbelle

Recommended Posts

Theese teeth are so old the canines have actually bent over and the teeth have actually turned to quartz. Any help with identification would greatly be appreciated.

Welcome to the fossil forum!!

Unfortunately this is just a odd shaped piece of quartz from a vein with some crystallized area.

Not just an odd shaped rock if you look carefully between the two "rocks" you can actually see part of the tooth that didn't fossilyze

Unfortunately, it isn't bone or enamel in the little opening.

Just some matrix.

It's a quartz cobble, and not a tooth.

Sorry - keep looking.

Third opinion...

Definitely milky quartz and not tooth enamel. They do both feel the same, having that sooth and slick surface.

We all end up with these pseudofossils in our collecting. Some of them can look shockingly real.
