New Members jason 1 Posted July 17, 2020 New Members Share Posted July 17, 2020 Hello, I’m new to this forum but have enjoyed fossil collecting for quite some time. Just today my son and I went to Calvert Cliffs. While I didn’t do well with teeth, we found this which I was unable to identify. I was hoping someone might be able to give me an idea of what this might be. Thanks in advance for your time!
Miocene_Mason
Welcome to the forum fellow Marylander! This is a piece of fossil bone (some prefer “Chunkosaurus”), likely from a cetacean (whale, dolphin, or porpoise). It doesn’t have many identifying features, but looks as though it may be part of a vertebra. 2 Happy hunting, Mason
