Abyss
I was bored, went flipping though sites & came across this rock. They think it's Jasper with some Quartz other than that they have no idea what it is. No information as to where it's from, other than a estate sale. The rock is big, What is this rock ? ynot
Could be jasper, hard to tell from these pictures though. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." My Fossil collection - My Mineral collection My favorite thread on TFF.
Ludwigia
I'm not so sure. Looks like some kind of metamorphic stone at any rate. Maybe the greenish parts are chlorite. Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
Abyss
The front & back are very different, is it real does it look real ? I'm guessing this came from a old closed mine or some very rare occurrence of a normal specimen we are used to seeing but happened to react a little different in a corner somewhere else & a person collected it ?
