Fish scale from Ras al Khaimah?

Hello, 

I found this fossil a while ago on a trip to Ras al Khaimah (an Emirate/state in the United Arab Emirates).

It looks a bit worn, but it is still interesting. It has some strange patterns on it, and I am wondering if it could be a fish scale. I think the time period it's from is Cretaceous, but I am not very sure.

That would be interesting! I'm not sure if that's what it is though. I forgot to mention some of the other fossils I found at the same location. Mainly corals/sponges, some bivalves, and other small gastropods.

I'm not either. It's just the image that first came to mind.

Hello, I thought I'd try to get a response by posting more pictures, both of the fossil itself, and of other fossils I found in the same area.

Here is the fossil.

Here is another fossil I found close to the first. I posted this on another topic, and it appears to be either Archaeocyatha, or Rugose corals. This might help determine the time period.

I did some preparation, the uncovered bit of the fossil seems to be covered in a red layer.

 

I also tried to draw the fossil, hopefully it provides a clearer picture of it.
