Per Christian
Hi all. I have this tooth that i think is either an abelisaurid tooth or a carcharodontosaurus premax. Does anyone here have an idea which it could be? The tooth is a bit over 2 inches in length. It's from the Kemkem i think
ziggycardon
I think we need more pictures from different angles (including the base of the tooth) to get a better image of the tooth. From what I can see now, the tooth looks a little bit too chunky and big to be Abelisauridae, but angles can deceive. For now I am leaning towards Carcharodontosaur. 1 Interested in all things paleontology, geology, zoology, evolution, natural history and science! LordTrilobite
Too fat for Abelisaur I think. I agree with Ziggycardon. This looks like Carcharodontosaur. Since it's on the fatter side, it would likely be an anterior tooth. 1 Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite

The largest abelisaurid teeth from kem kem are not biggest that 3 cm. Thank you! Certainly not abelisaurid then. I appreciate your help!
