connorp
I collected these two very small brachiopods in the LaSalle Limestone (Pennsylvanian) of Illinois. I have collected in this formation dozens of times and have not come across either before, and was hoping for some help with the IDs. @Tidgy's Dad @deutscheben @cngodles Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
Tidgy's Dad
Interesting. I agree; it doesn't look like any of the brachiopods I know from the LaSalle. The second one might be an internal mold of the first one, but what they are I'm afraid I cannot determine. Probably orthids. Life's Good! Tortoise Friend. Missourian
They could be juveniles. The details on the first reminds me of Linoproductus sp. Context is critical.

That what definitely my first thought but I have never seen one so small. Never considered a juvenile though, interesting thought!
Tidgy's Dad
It's possible. I can't see clearly in these photos, but is the hinge line long and straight, short and straight or curved? Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
