Hello fellow fossil fanatics - I was recently almost tricked into purchasing an “african t-Rex” tooth. I am very interested though in purchasing the real thing. Anyone have any advice or tips on how to source and value appropriately? Thank you in advance for all your help!

Welcome from Florida! You're probably better off posting this in the Q&A section, but there's also plenty of resources on here that should help on your quest for a real T-Rex tooth!

Fossils? I dig it. :meg:

Unfortunately thats a common practice used to sell those Moroccan Carch teeth.  Also,  forgot to mention in my PM that locality (state and county) where it was found is vital to insure you're buying a Trex tooth.  Tyrannosaurid teeth from older Campanian deposits may look like Trex but are not.   Always good to check here before you buy.

Welcome from Illinois.

Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
