New Members connorology Posted July 6, 2022 New Members Share Posted July 6, 2022 Hello, I just joined the fossil forum - I have an amateur interest in fossils and a few items I have purchased or been given over the years (I received several fossils form my late grandfather). Most of the items I have came without information (identification, age, locality... etc.) My goal is to learn a little bit more and see if I can ID any of these items to a passable degree. Thanks, - Connor Long

FossilDAWG
Welcome from Georgia (the USA state that is). I'm curious to see your fossils . I was in northern California quite recently. I had a day free, and I hoped to revisit a site where I found some Lower Cretaceous fossils 20+ years ago, and a couple of nearby sites as well. Unfortunately all the sites are now posted, and the property manager was polite but firm in saying "no". So my car rental and ~$6.50/gallon for gas resulted in not one fossil. Next time I'll invest the time to find out contact info and call ahead. Don
