Hey everyone,

I found this fossil along the Don River yesterday. I believe there's a crinoid stem and coral fossil in limestone from Georgian Bay Formation. Is this right?

Please let me know

Thanks so much!

You're right about the crinoid impression, but I'm not so sure about the coral. If those are 2 different impressions that you are showing, then I would say that they are both from a crinoid.

What you are thinking may be coral (left of center, second photo) is a crinoid column section like the first. The difference is that it contains a cast of the lumen.
