ozrit
Hi, I got this tooth from an old collection which sadly did not contain any locality details. Is it possible to give an ID on this one? I can take better and more detailed photos if needed. Any help will be much appreciated. Regards, Oz

ozrit
I figured, Thanks. Is it possible to go to species level? Oz
rocket
about the location it comes from, hmmm. Reminds me in the condition to north-sea-saltwater. When you dry it it splits, needs fast and special preservation as it is does not have a complete surface, its not easy to say which genus it belongs too. When I compare it with some from our collection I would suspect it belongs to the classic wooly one, Mammuthus primigenius Edited December 8, 2022 by rocket
ozrit
Sadly I have no info at all. It is glued heavily so its correlate with your comment about splits. Thank you very much for the info! Regards, Oz
sjaak
This partial molar looks like Northsea mammoth. Also the way it has cracked and repaired with white glue points to Northsea.
