"sand in a gut"

Hi all,

I've been finding pebbles in a park with paleozoic age fossils in them - rugosa, goniatite and this one has something reminding me of sand grains in a gut or poop :) I believe the gravel is from the Drava river, which may carry it all the way from Slovenia and beyond.. Any ideas?

The size of the clasts in this matrix indicates a more energetic environment than one would expect to find cololites or coprolites in. I can't say what it might be though.
