found this looks like corral or a plant? or perhaps something else? also included magnified photos of item.

Could be a bryozoan or a coral, but maybe invest in a ruler to show scale for those who are not from the US. ;)

looks like a bryozoan colony to me, nice

Stone seems to be chert?

It does look a lot like the sectioning of a bryozoan colony that I tried to call an ophiuroid a while back. :)

Have we established an age? I don't think the Brazos River passes through anything old enough for graptolites but that's what it looks like to me.

Thanks for finding that thread.  I was thinking of that but I haven't has the time to look for it.  I think the fossils may be a conifer, especially something cedar-ish.

 

I hope no-one takes offense, but whenever I see coral spelled corral (an easy mistake to make) I want to say "I don't think that's right, I don't see any tiny horses".
