MOR 555 - Intraspecific bite marks

Hi TFF friends,

how are you?

After reading,

Caleb M. Brown, Philip J. Currie, and Francois Therrien, Intraspecific facial bite marks in tyrannosaurids provide insight into sexual maturity and evolution of bird-like intersexual display

I decided to see if our Tyrannosaurus rex replicas (MOR 555) had any visible facial bite marks.

I noticed it had 2 big scars, one on the maxilla and one on the dentary.

Does anyone know if they are actually Intraspecific bite marks (MOR 555 is not cited among the Tyrannosaurus rex studied for the previously cited study)?

Thank you

MOR 555 is the Wankel Rex.  Here is a cast at MOR guess showing its resto.   Not seeing those features in this one.

Thank you Troodon.

Now I am wondering why our MOR 555 replica is that different form the original one.

The angular and the surangular bones are fairly different too.

This is MOR 008. Here is a bronze cast of MOR 555 outside the MOR:

It's not clear to me that these are true scars or an artifact of casting or preservation...
